Businesses and organisations across the south Essex region are being called on to encourage their employees, trainees and students to get on their bikes as part of Bike Week 2019, from the 8th to the 16th June. ForwardMotion is encouraging people to ‘Trial a Mile’ and travel one mile of their journey to work, education or training by bike.
To help organisations encourage their employees, students or trainees to trial a mile, the ForwardMotion Cycle Hub Mobile is available to visit one lucky organisation on the 12th June. The cycle hub comes complete with trained travel advisers to help people find the best ways to change their journeys, a range of recycled bikes to purchase and information about bike hire schemes and cycle training.
To help individuals to trial a mile by bike, ForwardMotion will be hosting a series of activities throughout Bike Week. The week’s activities will culminate in a community bike ride, on Thursday 13th June, meeting at Leigh Railway Station ready to start the ride at 7.15pm.
Any organisations or individuals interested in taking part in the Trial a Mile challenge should get in touch by email: hello@forwardmotionsouthessex.co.uk. The first twenty organisations to sign up will secure a free Biker’s Breakfast Box.
