Basildon town centre

Basildon has a lot to offer, including the Eastgate shopping centre and Towngate Theatre in the town centre, as well as Festival Leisure Park, with its cinema, bowling alley, nightclubs, bars and restaurants. Basildon also boasts more green spaces than any other part of south Essex.

Cycle

There are lots of on and off-road cycling routes in and around Basildon. See Basildon Cycle Map (including Billericay and Wickford).

Rail

Basildon station on the c2c service provides easy access to the Festival Leisure Park, Sporting Village, Eastgate shopping centre and the town’s many parks and open spaces.

Bus

Basildon’s bus station in the town centre allows you to get on frequent services that provide direct links to Chelmsford, Benfleet, Southend, Thurrock, Wickford, Burnham-on-Crouch and Billericay.

First Bus is the most prominent operator in and around Basildon. Check out the Traveline website for timetables and tickets for all bus companies operating in the area.
