*NEW* Trial a Journey Travel Challenges

In light of the current situation with COVID-19, we have taken the decision to bring our ‘Spring Clean Your Journey’ travel challenge to a close. We will be selecting a winner from the people who took part in the challenge in March.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the challenge and completed a journey on a bus, train, bike or on foot, which they would have normally travelled by car.

There are still lots of ways you can get involved with the ForwardMotion campaign, whether that is sharing your success stories on our website or watching our new ‘how to’ bike videos on social media. You can also get in touch with the team about any of our services. Please contact us on hello@forwardmotionsouthessex.co.uk or 01702 212727 for more information.

We look forward to hearing about all your previous active travel journeys and those you will be making in the future post the coronavirus outbreak.

This March We Want You To Spring Clean Your Journey

For the whole month of March, we’re offering a final chance to win £250 towards a new bike or bike accessories. As the nights are brighter and the weather is warming up, there are lots of motivating factors for making your commute more active. As well as moving more and keeping your body healthy, you’ll also be helping to keep the planet healthy, too.

Taking public transport or even carpooling has proven to be more beneficial to our environment than driving alone, so being more sociable can save the planet!

Then, visit this secure online survey so we can capture your details, and we will contact one lucky winner at the start of April.

If the winner of this challenge is under 18, we will send the voucher to a parent or guardian.

This challenge has been postponed. We will send updates via social media, or check back here soon to find out when the competition has been re-opened.

Win £250 with our #TryJanuary Challenge

The New Year means a new active travel challenge from ForwardMotion and another opportunity to win £250 to spend on a bike or cycling equipment.

Research conducted by YouGov for ForwardMotion in December 2019 found that exercising more is the most popular New Year’s resolution.

Swapping a car journey for one by bike or on foot is an easy way to exercise more.

If you tell us about a journey you’ve tried in January you could win £250 for a bike or cycling equipment.

Once you’ve completed your journey, all you need to do is let us know. Tell us on Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtag #TryJanuary or email hello@forwardmotionsouthessex.co.uk

When you complete the challenge and tell us about it on social media, you’ll be sent a link to be entered into our raffle for the chance to win £250 to spend on a bike or cycling equipment.

This challenge ends 31/01/2020

Festive Travel

We’re encouraging people across south Essex to try travelling by public transport throughout December 2019 as part of our Festive Travel challenge. You could win a £250 prize for completing just one journey on a bus or train which you would have normally travelled by car.

To take part, swap one journey you would have made by car, for one made by bus or train. You then need to tell us about your journey using the hashtag #FestiveTravel on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to be entered into the prize draw. Alternatively, you can tell us you’ve taken part in the challenge by sending an email to hello@forwardmotionsouthessex.co.uk.

The campaign will be advertised on bus backs across the South Essex region throughout December, and the winner of the Festive Travel challenge prize draw will be announced early January.

If you haven’t travelled using public transport in a while, our trained travel advisors will be available throughout December, ready to provide information on the quickest routes to get you from A to B, advise on tickets for bus and rail services, and provide you with ideas about how to get the most out of your journey. Get in touch by emailing: hello@forwardmotionsouthessex.co.uk or pick up the phone and call us on 01702 212727.

This challenge ends 31/12/2019.
