Engaging students at Opportunity Thurrock

On Wednesday, 20 November, the ForwardMotion team were at Opportunity Thurrock, a careers and education event attended by over 2,500 students from schools and colleges across Thurrock.

St Tilbury Cruise Terminal udents from Years 8 to 13, who were at the event at the London Cruise Terminal, Tilbury, had the opportunity to speak to our expert travel advisors and learn about all things active travel. We were one of over 100 exhibitors at the event, which also included businesses, universities and educational establishments. The students who visited us were able to demo an electric bike, show off their cycle skills on our Northshore Track and receive tailored travel advice about their journeys to work, education and training opportunities.

Opportunity Thurrock, hosted by Thurrock Council, is the biggest careers event in the region. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to provide students with the information they needed to travel differently.
