ForwardMotion launching new campaign to encourage more people to cycle

Published: 29/08/19

ForwardMotion is set to launch a new campaign called This Is What A Cyclist Looks Like, which challenges people’s perceptions of what a ‘real’ cyclist looks like and aims to encourage more people to travel by bike around south Essex.

You don’t have to be really fit or wear Lycra to get on a bike, you can just be yourself. Whether you’re going to work, college or elsewhere, cycling is for everyone. That is why the campaign has collated photos and videos of a range of local cyclists, which will be on show across south Essex, as well as on our website and social channels later in September.

If you’ve never ridden a bike before, or simply need to brush up your rusty skills, we can help. ForwardMotion offers free, 1-1 cycle training with a qualified instructor that will be tailormade to your needs. To book Bespoke cycle training, email hello@forwardmotionsouthessex.co.uk or call 01702 212727.

The campaign will launch at the Cycle County Active County conference from 5-6 September at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford. ForwardMotion is sponsoring the conference, which is being organised by Landor LINKS.
